Has anyone experienced diabetic diarrhea? How do you control it?

Hi sorry to post about a disgusting and embarrassing problem but has anyone experienced diabetic diarrhea? How do you control it? I'm struggling so much at the moment. I'm loosing weight and keeping diabetes controlled but if feels like it's getting worse 😢

Szehwa Lim no I'm just on insulin. I couldn't take metformin for this reason x

No. now regular just because and i ate something that didn't like me or it was monday and the world felt i hadn't been humilitated enough, sure. I take imodium ad, liquid the moment it hits, and I am good to go. course i won't poop for about 3 days but that;s better than liquid squierts

Jenni Hubbard It's OTC. I get the equate brand, it'snot so expensive, and is the same thing.

It's the worst problem I face. I take a whopper dose of Metformin, so it never fully goes away. I also carry Imodium with me. My gastro doc prescribed Cholestyramine for me. It's a powder and you mix it with water. I can take it up to 2x daily but I do best if I take it every 2 days. It's usually used for high cholesterol. The only side effect has been constipation so like I said, every other day and lots of water (or diet pepsi for me). If you have good insurance, it's about $20 for 2 month supply. OTC, it's about $60. Best of luck!
