Does anyone else get the frustration when reading “diabetic friendly” and the carbs are astronomical? Mostly because many food labels say “low sugar/sugar free” in many cases I believe many people don’t understand just because the food/drink is sugar free or low sugar doesn’t necessarily mean it’s suitable for diabetics. Carbohydrates should be spoken about more with companies not quite understanding sugar free products still can contain a significant amount of carbs. Now “low carbs” and “low sugar” together is what I’m talking about... am I right? 😁

I stay away from anything 'sugar free' - you get carbs and chemicals instead of sugar - in the long run I'll take no sugar or sugar in moderation (type 2 four years)

Yes. I think there is finally carbfree spaghetti and it’s only because it’s 40 carbs instead of 43. How?

Jenny Pencott
Lilou Onyx I think there is so many things we are yet to understand 😆

Sometimes they lie to us on the front label and sometimes they are addressing the glycemic index score and people don't always understand that. www.glycemicindex.com

I really wish for a grocery store with diabetic foods and gluten free foods only 🤦‍♀️ I hate grocery shopping and, while hubby is good enough to do it, he doesn’t always read the labels carefully when he sees something new. Grateful I have help as I have major chronic pain issues.

Yes, as I've said a few times, never trust foods that say "Diabetic friendly" or "No sugar". I know it can be a pain, but diabetics always need to read the labels for brands they've never had before to make sure they're not high in carbs.
